What is Student Life? Student Life is dedicated to creating an empowering, motivating, encouraging and supportive high school environment. Leadership, communication, organizational and academic strategies are all skills students learn, implement and apply to the world around them for the betterment of themselves and the people around them. This is accomplished through a Student Government that is the voice of Heritage, through friendly organized competitions which allow students to accumulate points for their house team, and through ambassadors who create a valuable link between our school and the community. Student Life is Athletics who are the role models for their sports teams, Student Life are the Prefects who welcome visitors with open arms. Student Life creates a well rounded individual preparing them for what is sure to be a rewarding and satisfying future.

Leadership opportunities at Heritage are designed to help promote and develop leadership qualities and characteristics in students looking to make a difference in both their school and their local communities. Students may enroll in the Leadership course or attend the annual Leadership Camp.

Heritage’s House System was created to increase participation in school life and to increase a sense of belonging. Each student belongs to one of four houses and participates in fun and friendly competitions throughout the school year.

The Performing Arts culture at HRHS is vibrant and alive with annual shows and traditions. Students from all programs at Heritage take part in these events (Dance Recital, Da Bomb, TNT, Drama Festival) which have come to be part of our solid tradition as a school with dedicated and talented staff guiding the artistic talents of young people. Our elaborate lighting and sound systems in our auditorium leave audiences in awe at the professional quality of Heritage productions.
